Summer Student Training Rules, Regulations and schedule

Summer Student Training

Rules, Regulations and schedule

  1. The schedule must be followed by everyone.
  2. Please do not come if you are sick!  Any symptoms should be reported to a serving one immediately.
  3. Attendance at all meetings (including group times and morning revival) is mandatory. In case of sickness, appropriate medical attention will be obtained and parents may be asked to come take the sick child home.
  4. All young people must endeavor to study the truth, memorize the verses, prepare and participate in the group times, and prophesy during the testing. During group times, everyone must contribute and participate. This is a training!
  5. No one may exit the meeting hall or your hospitality’s home without permission.
  6. We would like to give the entire week to the Lord with no distractions. Cell phone use will be restricted during the week, including what apps may be used, and what hours the phones may be used. Phones may be collected at the beginning of the week and only made available for specific, needed activities. There will be blackout hours and times when no electronic items are allowed. We want the whole week to be sanctified, without any distractions. No other electronic items are allowed (radios, tablets, music players, games, etc.).
  7. No novels or magazines are permitted, only spiritual reading materials or homework. Homework material should not include novels or other types of fiction.
  8. Please bring your physical Bible (Old and New Testament).
  9. Brothers are not permitted in the areas of the sisters’ lodging, and sisters are not permitted in the areas the brothers are occupying.
  10. All clothing worn during the entire week, including recreation times, must be proper and modest. No sleeveless, low cut, skin-tight or skin-revealing shirts may be worn. No shorts, pants that sag, hip-hugger or low rise pants, ripped jeans, lounge pants, sweat pants, exercise pants, yoga pants or tights may be worn. Collared shirts, polo shirts, or plain shirts without writing may be worn. No shirts and sweatshirts with writing other than those with Bible verses. No clothing with other pictures, writing, or symbols may be worn. This applies to brothers and sisters. [Please read: Watchman Nee, Messages for Building Up New Believers, vol. 3, chapter 37].
Brothers, see examples here of what is acceptable to wear.
Sisters, see examples here of what is acceptable to wear.
  11. Do not touch anything in the children’s meeting classrooms.
  12. Please do not play the piano without permission, and do not place any items on top of the piano.
  13. Be absolutely quiet during the rest time.
  14. Snacks and food are to be kept out of the meeting room and out of the bedrooms in the homes.
  15. All attendees must follow the instructions of the serving ones.
  16. All young people will take hospitality for the entire week with families living close to the Leyden Meeting Hall. Commuter attendance is not allowed.
  17. Registration is required to attend any of the SSoT meetings. Those who are not registered will not be allowed to attend the meetings, even part time, except for the special meeting and awards ceremony on Saturday afternoon.
  18. Please do not play the piano without permission, and do not place any items on top of the piano.
